This sauce is something that we love in many different applications : drizzled over meat, spooned over fruit, and perhaps the very best way to indulge yourself is to serve on warm chocolate brownies with a fresh fruit and a scoop of vanilla ice cream . Bon Appetit!
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan, bring Blackberry Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil to a low boil (medium heat), add honey.
- Swirl constantly to prevent burning - about 15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat. Mixture should reduce by about 1/3 and start getting thicker while cooling.
- The longer you reduce, the thicker your sauce will be, a smaller yield. Do not cook to desired consistency. Your syrup will continue to thicken while cooling down.
