Q&O @ the 26th Annual Chili Cook-off

Quail and Olive is excited to be attending the Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce’s (CVCC) 26th Annual Chili Cook-off. Join us Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at The River Ranch at Carmel Valley Ranch located at One Old Ranch Road, Carmel, California. The event will begin at 5:00 pm with over 20 professional and amateur contestants and conclude at 8:00 pm. Leave it to Carmel Valley to bring the best professional chefs in the county combined with pure hearted, chili-loving amateur chefs to compete in a beautiful setting while sipping on unique margaritas, prepared especially to please ones palette for a winning vote.
Chili chefs and Margarita Bartenders will be competing for a People’s Choice award or the coveted “Golden Ladle” award voted on by our expert foodie judges, the past three year Professional People’s Choice winners: Chef Fabrice Roux, ROUX & CV Chophouse; Chef Anna Steege, Bernardus Lodge, and Chef Jason Trujillo, Santa Lucia Preserve. Together these chefs/judges will blind taste both the professional and amateur chili’s to determine who wins first place and who wins Honorable Mention.
People Choice Awards will be given to each category in first, second and third place by attendees text vote. Past contestants included Carmel Valley Athletic Club Cafe, Santa Lucia Preserve, Carmel Valley Ranch, Los Laureles Lodge, Quail Lodge & Golf Club, Jerome’s Carmel Valley Market, ROUX, Bernardus Lodge and many more.
